The Story of Cornerstone Fellowship

Cornerstone was established in 1983 by a group of men and women who were hungry for more of God. Our first pastor, Al Young and his wife, Virginia, served diligently for 10 years. In 1993, the Lord called Dick Metz and his wife, Jackay, to lead our church. In January 2022, Caleb Crawford transitioned into Senior Pastor to continue leading Cornerstone forward. After 28 years of effective ministry Bro. Dick as Senior Pastor, has taken on the active role of Associate Pastor.

Since its beginning, Cornerstone has been open to the life-changing presence of God.

By studying God’s word, leaning on one another and surrendering to the Spirit of God, we are building strong families who will raise their children to honor God and serve Him. Approximately 200 believers call Cornerstone home.

Cornerstone is a part of the Gateway Church Network, a network of churches organized by Gateway Church of Southlake, Texas. Cornerstone also partners with local churches as a member of the Central Area Pastor’s Association, a diverse group of 15 churches representing several denominations.
